Over the past six months, we have asked the public to join us in calling on Gov. Corzine to "Go Big on Wind" by setting visionary goals for offshore wind power in New Jersey.

Thanks to your support, Gov. Corzine has embraced a visionary offshore wind goal and announced the most ambitious offshore wind plan in the nation.

As a result, by 2020, New Jersey will power roughly one million homes with clean, renewable energy.

Saving national forests

Thanks to our federation’s work, more than 1.5 million citizens nationwide called on the Clinton administration to protect pristine areas in our national forests, resulting in the Roadless Rule. When the Bush administration attempted to overturn the rule, we worked with governors in seven states to petition to protect their forests.

Open Letter to Governor Corzine Dear Gov. Corzine, Thank you for your leadership to promote offshore wind in New Jersey. Faced with soaring energy costs and the threats of global warming, we need to maximize our clean energy potential. Your commitment to power over 1 million homes with clean, renewable New Jersey wind power by 2020 is an important step toward a new energy future. Your proposal will create hundreds of new "green jobs" in New Jersey, reduce our demand on imported energy sources, and help fight global warming.
