Electric Truck Leader: New Jersey First State on East Coast to Adopt Advanced Clean Truck Rule

New Jersey became the fourth state in the nation, and first on the East Coast, to adopt the Advanced Clean Truck rule. The Advanced Clean Truck will electrify trucks in Class 2b through Class 8, starting in Model Year 2025, and by Model Year 2035, 55% of all trucks sold in New Jersey will be electric.

Statement: EPA makes right choice by enacting strong clean car rule

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a rule on Monday to limit global warming pollution from cars and trucks. In total, the EPA’s new rule will result in more than 3.1 billion tons of avoided greenhouse gas emissions through 2050, which is the equivalent to more than half of net U.S. carbon dioxide emissions in 2019.

Statement: Bill to Help Fund Statewide Transition to Electric School Buses Passes State Senate

The New Jersey State Senate passed legislation (S4077), which will require the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to create a grant program for electric school buses to help public school districts and private contractors transition their fleets from diesel to electric.
